FAQ's

Yes, storing or using your batteries in colder temperatures lowers the capacity the batteries can hold by up to 40%. At 0°F (-18 °C) a typical lithium-ion power tool battery will deliver only 50% of its maximum potential. This means you will have less power and require more charging to use them.

Your lithium-ion battery has a very limited range to charge safely, with optimal temperatures being between 50°F – 110°F (10°C – 44°C). Charging below 40°F(5°C) is not recommended and charging below 32°F(0C) should not be permitted as it can result in permanent damage and reduce the runtime. You can charge safely indoors or invest in a battery warmer if you cannot bring your batteries inside.

The FreezArmor warming bag works in temperatures as low as -30F(-34C). It is designed to heat safely and maintain the optimal temperature (50°F – 70°F) for your batteries.

It is highly recommended to store your lithium-ion batteries in temperatures above 50°F(°C). At temperatures below 50F your battery will discharge over time resulting in a low or dead battery when you need it.

The FreezArmor warming pad maintains a temperature of 50°F to 70°F within an enclosed bag and is powered by a 120-volt wall plug.

From past studies, scientists knew that most lithium-ion batteries start flatlining at about minus 4°F. Below this point, they don’t hold as much charge, and they aren’t as good as transferring it—meaning that it’s harder to use them for power. And the colder they go, the worse they perform.

Latex caulk will freeze and should not be subjected to a temperature below 32 degrees Fahrenheit. The material could disintegrate and break if the temperature is too extreme. Furthermore, too much freezing temperature could disengage the adherence between the substrate and the sealant.

Most caulks work best when applied above 40 degrees; warming the caulking improves application, adhesion, and curing. However, not all caulking can be applied in lower temperatures.
